I am not seen as a movie maniac or a television maniac by the people who know me(whether they’re my school friends, my college friends or my family). To be frank, I hate present time TV soap operas as they have destroyed the family values that once existed in India.
But you can always find some exceptions if got a slightly analytical mind. Everything that is created has a few good things. Only a bunch of GenX knows about the initial serials of Doordarshan. Surely they won’t watch a single episode of present day operas if they get to see the family value that those serials taught.

Actually wanted to make a context behind posting this post.
This video is title track of one of the very first serials of Doordarshan. The name of the Serial was Buniyaad. I thought of sharing it as its first stanza has always touched my heart. And this is the only family serial I would recommend India of today to watch.
I wish Indian families break virtual values, and revert to the classic Indian values that have kept flame of India burning for several millenniums.
